Amsterdam Private Panoramic Tour

Duration

3 hours

About

With this private tour we will get to know in depth the most charming and emblematic areas of Amsterdam. From the hand of one of our expert guides we will talk about the past and present of the city, trying to obtain the most complete vision possible of what is one of the most beautiful capitals in Europe.

Starting our tour at the Central Train Station, we will enter the Ring of Canals, built in the seventeenth century and declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Here we will learn about the authentic palaces that were built by the wealthiest merchants during the Dutch Golden Age. Along the way, we will see the narrowest house in Amsterdam, as well as many of the famous boat houses and houseboats, in which the inhabitants of the city still live today.

Next, we will discover what for many is the most beautiful neighborhood in Amsterdam, the Jordaan, known for its bohemian atmosphere and for being the birthplace of great Dutch artists. In it, we will find the famous brown cafes, symbols of Amsterdammer life and Dutch culture, and we will walk through the streets of what may seem like a small town on the edge of the city.

Leaving the Jordaan, right on the canal that marks the border of the neighborhood, the Prinsengracht, we will find what is probably the most famous house in Amsterdam, the Anne Frank house. There we will tell you in detail the history of her, as well as the terrible way in which the Second World War was lived in Amsterdam and in the Netherlands. Before continuing our route, we will also know the church that Ana heard and mentioned so many times in her diary, the Westerkerk, and where, in addition, one of the most important characters in the history of the city is buried.

Continuing with our route, we will visit the popular district of the 9 streets, a picturesque neighborhood full of local shops where vintage clothing stores and artisan products abound, as well as art galleries.Perfect for you to take note of the guide's recommendations for if you want to come back to do some shopping!

Later, we will go to the Leidseplein area, nucleus of Amsterdam's nightlife, where there are numerous restaurants, bars with live music and the largest coffeeshop of the famous Bull Dog brand. It will also be a good time for you to get ideas for your free time in the city!

Before ending our tour, we will walk through the Vondelpark, the largest and most important park in the city, known as the lung of Amsterdam. Finally, we will arrive at the museum area, Museumplein, where, among others, the Van Gogh Museum and the Rijksmuseum are located.
