Naples, Pompeii and Vesuvius group tour: A journey from Naples between history and nature - pick-up from Naples's central train station

Pick-up at the meeting point outside the central station for a visit of about 2 hours with a stop at the Duomo to admire inside the Chapel of the Treasure in its baroque style and the Basilica of S.Restituta, the first early Christian basilica of the 4th century A.D. Continuation by minibus to the city center passing through the Castel Nuovo (male Angevin) and a new stop in the Posillipo area on the terrace of the church of San Antonio from which you can enjoy the best panoramic view of the gulf. Return to the city center with a visit to Piazza del Plebiscito, the beautiful Umberto I gallery and the exterior of the Royal Palace and the S.Carlo theater. Continue to Pompeii for a guided tour of the archaeological excavations. The guide will illustrate the most suggestive places in the city such as the Forum, the Baths, the Casa dei Vetti and the Lupanare buried by ashes and lapilli during the eruption of 79 AD. Lunch break including pizza, margherita and soft drink. Transfer to Torre del Greco from which you can access the Vesuvius National Park up to an altitude of 1000. Stop at the car park and walk to the top of the only active volcano in continental Europe. Visit the suggestive crater 1200 meters high from which it is possible to see the Gulf of Naples from Capo Miseno to the tip of Campanella. Return to the station at about 17:15 p.m
