Attention

Aloha,

Due to a recent new interpretation of a series of local laws, we can no longer deliver kayaks or any beach gear outside of our store which includes your original location. However, you can conveniently pick up the kayak at the following location:

134 Hamakua Dr. Unit B Kailua, HI 96762

Our friendly team will be there to guide you through strapping the kayak on your vehicle and provide you with all the necessary equipment. All you need is a 4-door car to transport it. Please show up 15 minutes before your booking time.

The pickup location is 20 minutes away at He'eia Kea Boat Harbor.

Try the Google Maps link:

[Google Maps He'eia Kea Boat Harbor Link] (https://goo.gl/maps/TqZbsk8diwUfk7Jc6)

Once you pull into the harbor there is plenty of public parking on the left side of each of the left and right arms of the pier.

Before you park, unload the kayak at the launch area marked on the map which is close to the entrance of the harbor across from the restrooms.

Once you have your kayak and parking all set, start your journey to the sandbar.

DO NOT launch kayaks at the boat ramps. That is against the harbor rules.

The prevailing wind direction is primarily towards the shore, so the trip back to the sandbar is usually quicker than the trip out there, but it usually takes about 45 minutes to an hour of paddling in the bay.

When you start your paddle, you'll see the sandbar on the horizon as a long light-brown sliver and usually at least a few boats hanging around on the sandbar's edge, so it should be easy to pinpoint the right way to go. The sandbar is over 3 miles long, so it's hard to miss it.

Have fun and be safe!

For your safety (and in compliance with the law) please refrain from consuming alcoholic beverages while out on the water/sandbar, Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources prohibits alcohol use on holidays and most weekends in and around the Kaneohe Sandbar.

We are working hard on updating our website and making the necessary changes for our guests and we appreciate your patience during this transition. We look forward to providing you with an amazing kayaking experience!
