Starting in the Old Town of the city of Funchal, followed by São Gonçalo, one of the most beautiful roads in Funchal, stopping at the Miradouro do Pinnacle, which is very popular with tourists, as it has a magnificent view over the Bay of Funchal. It then ends in Garajau, more specifically at the Miradouro do Cristo-Rei, with an excellent view over part of the Bay of Funchal, the Garajau Reserve, the Caniço de Baixo and over the Atlantic. The Miradouro do Cristo Rei owes its name to the construction of the statue of Christ the King, which was erected as a fulfillment of a promise made by Counselor Aires de Ornelas

You can also enjoy a cable car ride that is located at this location.

The return trip to Funchal is an ugly one by another road, along the Boa Nova road to appreciate and enjoy the beautiful view over the Bay of Funchal.
