Casa da Guitarra presents a traditional fado show, lasting approximately 60 minutes, in the historic center of Porto. The show takes place inside our traditional instrument store
.Have an encounter with Portuguese culture, being in touch with its unique values — Fado, Portuguese Guitar and Port Wine — directly linked to our History. Also visit our exhibition dedicated to Portuguese string instruments and their manufacturers.
The show begins with the characteristic voice of our resident fado singers, accompanied by the Portuguese Guitar and Fado Viola. Reserva Port Wine is served during the break.

The project “Fado by Casa da Guitarra” aims to offer you the essence of this musical genre, in an evening of enchantment and admiration. During the one-hour concert, you will come into contact with very unique Portuguese cultural elements - fado, traditional Portuguese string instruments and Port wine - that are deeply related to
Portuguese history.The fado show takes place in an intimate setting, usually with one or two singers, accompanied by a Portuguese guitar and a fado viola. During the interlude, a reserve port wine will be served to complete the evening. An illustrated postcard will also be offered with some explanations about the essence of fado
