Our tour begins on the historic Royal Mile, the backbone of Edinburgh's Old Town, where your guide lead you along the cobbled streets and down the hidden closes to uncover some of Edinburgh's most fascinating tales.
You will cover all of the Old Town's major sights including; The Royal Mile, St Giles' Cathedral, Greyfriars Kirkyard, The Writers Museum, The Grassmarket, and Victoria Street.
Your guide will then lead you into Edinburgh's number 1 must see attraction; Edinburgh Castle. Your guide will share with you the highlights of the 3,000 year old fortress, from stories of daring midnight raids, deadly banquets, from the birth of a king to the death of a queen.
Your tour will then conclude in the royal heart of Edinburgh Castle where you can go on to spend extra time exploring the individual museums and gallery's which are not accessible during the tour.

This tour DOES NOT meet at Edinburgh Castle. Please meet your guide in front of the High Court next to the statue of David Hume (above). Your guide will be holding a black and white umbrella with the EDI Tours logo on it.
Children aged 15 and under must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times
Please be sure to arrive at the meeting point at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. The tour will only wait a further 5 minutes for latecomers, after which time the guide will not be contactable until after the end of the tour.
Please note the tour DOES NOT start at Edinburgh Castle. We meet further down the Royal Mile at the Statue of David Hume, 379-381 High Street, Edinburgh, EH1 1PW.
We recommend wearing comfortable shoes and dressing appropriately for the weather, as the tour takes place completely outdoors.
