Access Update – Lift Availability

Unfortunately, our entrance lift is currently out of order and as a result, our exhibition can only be accessed via steps. We understand how frustrating and disappointing this can be, and we truly share those feelings. Accessibility is extremely important to us at The Beatles Story, and we want everyone to feel welcome and included.

Looking ahead, we’re excited to share that as part of a wider Capital Project, we are exploring plans to fully replace the lift. As tenants of the Royal Albert Dock and a listed building, this process involves careful planning and collaboration with heritage and accessibility partners to ensure everything is done properly, safely, and smoothly. At this stage, we’re unable to provide a confirmed timeframe for when this replacement will take place, but please rest assured it is a top priority for us. The next update that we can release to update our visitors will be April 2026.
