Step into the magical world of Harry Potter on this exciting walking tour, led by current or former Oxford students who know the university inside out. Together, you’ll explore two of the iconic filming locations featured in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, immersing yourself in the real-life settings that brought Hogwarts to the big screen.
As you wander through Oxford’s historic heart, you’ll encounter some of the university’s most remarkable buildings and colleges—architectural masterpieces that have inspired filmmakers, authors, and scholars for centuries. Your guide will point out where key scenes were shot, share behind-the-scenes stories, and highlight other major film and TV productions that chose Oxford for its unique atmosphere and timeless beauty.
Along the way, you’ll enjoy fantastic photo opportunities, whether you’re capturing grand medieval halls, cloistered walkways, or spots that fans will instantly recognise. Between film anecdotes, you’ll also gain insight into Oxford University itself: the oldest English-speaking university in the world and ranked the best university globally for an unprecedented six consecutive years.
This tour blends movie magic with real history, offering the perfect mix for families, fans, and anyone curious about the traditions and secrets of this extraordinary city.
