With over 100 years of life, Poças is currently in the hands of the 4th generation, being one of the rare Port Wine companies that was born in Portuguese and has been in the hands of the same family since its foundation. Our old Tawny Port Wines built Poças's reputation, but DOC Douro wines have also proven their quality for 30 years
.In 2019, Poças received the award of “Fortified Wine Producer of the Year 2018”, awarded by Revista de Vinhos.
The Poças Visitor Center has been open to the public since 2016 and was completely renovated in 2018 - an innovative project signed by the architects Lúcia Vaz Pato and António Mota. Receiving around 30,000 visitors a year, in 2018 the Visitor Center was awarded the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence
