NYC Statue Day Sail aboard America 2.0

Offering a premium sailing experience, the Schooner America 2.0 is the newest, largest, most elegant ship designed for our fleet. Added to our fleet in 2011, the America 2.0 provides the most exceptional day sailing one can find in New York Harbor.

Her design is influenced by the style of the late 1800s but incorporates technology of the 21st century, thus connecting the past and present beauty, history, and art of sailing in New York Harbor.

A day sail on this 105-foot schooner is perfect for family outings, dates, and entertaining guests from out of town. A sail on America 2.0 is guaranteed to be a memorable experience.

Within five minutes of leaving the dock, you'll forget the mayhem and noise of Manhattan street life as you feel the relaxing breeze of New York Harbor.

You'll take in the famous Manhattan skyline as it was meant to be seen-- from the water -- plus spectacular views of Ellis Island, the Statue of Liberty and the Brooklyn Bridge.
Join us on the Schooner America 2.0 as we sail the harbor of the most famous island in the world!

If Schooner America 2.0 is not available for the date you are interested in, please take a look at Schooner Adirondacks Day Sail Schedule.

Important:

Any directions or maps provided by Classic Harbor Line are only a rough guide. You are responsible for arriving at the activity's meeting location on time, so make sure to check with a second source that can provide specific directions from your starting point.

Detailed Directions:

Our boats depart from Chelsea Piers, on Pier 62, which is located at West 22nd Street and the Hudson River. We are at the northernmost end of the Chelsea Piers on the water. When walking to Chelsea Piers, you must cross the West Side Highway. There are crosswalks at 18th, 20th and 23rd Street. When standing on the west side highway facing the river (facing west), go around the north side of the large blue building. Our ticket booth is located on the walkway next to the water on Pier 62.

Please check in at the Classic Harbor Line ticket booth upon arrival, and you will be escorted to the boat by the Captain when it is time to board.

By Subway:

Take the C or E train to 23rd Street. This will leave you on 8th Avenue, so you'll need to walk about three avenues west, until you hit the Hudson River and the Chelsea Piers complex.

By Bus:

Take the crosstown M23 bus west to the last stop: Chelsea Piers, Pier 62.

By Car:

If you are planning to park at Chelsea Piers, the access road into Chelsea Piers' parking lots is at West 24th street. This road is only accessible if you are south bound on the West Side Hwy or west bound on 23rd Street. On 23rd street, take a right on 11th Avenue and a quick left on W. 24th street. Use the taxi turn-in into Chelsea Piers and stay to the right. Watch out for pedestrians and bikers in this area. Upon entering, you will have to take a ticket that you must pay to the lot attendants when you leave.

Parking:

Chelsea Piers parking is available on piers 61, 60 & 59. Availability cannot be guaranteed. We unfortunately do not issue vouchers for parking at Chelsea Piers.
