In this private ocean Mermaid Swimming Lesson, you will have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to transform into a mermaid and explore the beautiful, underwater world of Maui's most scenic coastline!
A professional mermaid instructor will give you a private swimming lesson in a mermaid tail and teach you tips and tricks to help you improve your mermaid swimming technique. All lessons take place in the calm, shallow, and protected waters of Makena Bay in South Maui.
All tours include a FREE underwater photo package!
This is an open ocean activity that takes place in shallow water. All guests must be over 6 years old and comfortable swimming in the ocean.
Smallest tail size available is a children's 6. Smallest monofin is children's size 1-4 (Jr 9 -13) when wearing inserted foam pads inside the foot pockets).
**Please note that our swimming instructors are ALWAYS in human form for safety reasons. She will not be wearing a mermaid tail, only a monofin to demonstrate swimming techniques.
Park your car at Makena Landing Park (type this directly into your GPS for best directions). Your instructor will be waiting on the grass next to the parking lot. Make sure to use the bathrooms & amenities at Makena Landing Park before check-in.
