As a locally rooted surf company in Maui, we offer personalized instruction tailored to your unique goals—whether you're just starting out or looking to level up. From mastering the fundamentals like paddling and pop-ups to developing the skills to read waves and currents confidently on your own, every lesson is designed to deepen your connection with the ocean. Your guide will be more than just an instructor—they're experienced watermen and women with strong backgrounds ranging from everyday surf to big wave riding, all certified in CPR and First Aid through the American Red Cross to ensure your safety and peace of mind.
We offer 7:30 am, 9:10 am, and 11 am private surf lessons. If you have a specific time other than those provided, please contact us.
All lessons come with complimentary photos taken during the lesson.
Lessons available for individuals or private groups!
1 Guest - $185
1-3 Guests (ages 3-7) - $155/person
2-4 Guests (ages 7+) - $145/person
5+ Guests - $125/person
There are no age restrictions or requirements for 1 on 1 lessons, adults and children are priced the same with exceptions to groups. For groups with keiki (children) under the age of 7, please select the designated option at checkout. This allows us to welcome an additional instructor to your session, ensuring a safe, personalized, and unforgettable ocean experience for your little ones.

We provide surf boards and rash guards for each guest, but you're welcome to wear your own if you prefer. For your comfort, we recommend bringing:
-Reef-safe sunscreen: : To help protect Maui County reefs, choose only mineral sunscreens made with ‘non-nanotized’ zinc oxide or titanium dioxide—natural mineral ingredients.
-A Towel

Please arrive at least 15 minutes early for your surf lesson at Ukumehame Beach Park, a secluded surf spot located on the West Side of Maui. An instructor will text you the morning of your lesson with specific directions on where his truck is parked as there is no designated parking. We advise that you do not park in the deep sand unless you are driving a 4x4 vehicle and to park near the instructor. Please call (808) 268-8033 with any questions.

We provide boards and rash guards for each guest but please wear your own rash guard if you’d like. We recommend bringing reef safe sunscreen, a towel, water, a change of dry clothes for after, and an open mind to learn about the ocean and how to surf.
At your earliest convenience, fill out a surf waiver for each guest. A waiver must be submitted for each guest prior to arrival at your lesson.
Gratuity is not included in the listed price of the lesson.
